[AODA members] Looking for different Food Guides

You probably have a copy of Canada's Food Guide (the rainbow).  However, you may not know that a Guide was published on April 2007 for Canada's First Nations, Inuit and Métis.  I am attaching diagrams of the two guides here.   Thanks so much for sending me so many great food guides!  Today was the second day of our staff training and they loved all the different food guides/groups from around the world.  Stacia, I think it's a great idea to have all these guides available or linked to in one central location and can send everyone & the AODA web manager what I've already been sent to get us started.  A few people have already asked for me to share what people have sent.  I'll try to get a compilation out to everyone by next week.

    I've asked AODA's Web Manager, Yiota to consider compiling all this information on Food Guides for the website and /or linking up with Laura Zubrod, AODA's CR for USA and editor for AODA's Guide to International Food & Nutrition to include there.

    We also discussed having all our Country Reps' Country Information Sheets there as well.  I think members / the public would find it very useful - don't you?

      Now I would like to ask you to send me any Food Guide Pyramids or Food Guides that you know of that are specific to a certain country or ethnic group.  I am working on a presentation to our Food Security Assistants that will show them different examples of Food Guides from around the world.
