Hello fellow HEN's and AODA members,
My apologies for those of you receiving this email twice.
I'm wondering if any of you have experience monitoring and evaluating the
effectiveness of cooking demonstrations. Below are the current cooking
demos that health NGOs are implementing in some of the refugee camps that we
are working in. Please pass on any ideas you have for M&E of these
demonstrations.
Overall goal is to promote the use of AsiaMIX (a fortified blended rice &
soybean flour that is part of the food ration).
Camp #1 - two recipes demonstrated one day/week, targeting caregivers and
children of the supplementary feeding program (~50 caregivers/wk).
Camp #2 - one to two recipes demonstrated throughout the day, for 3 days
straight, targeting all caregivers with children under 5 attending growth
monitoring and promotion (~150-200 caregivers over the 3 days).
Camp #3 - one recipe is demonstrated once a month to caregivers of
underweight, severely stunted children, who are followed-up with at 3 & 6
months post cooking demonstration session to see how their children are
doing
(~ 20 caregivers/month).
Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Many thanks.
Erika
