FYI - sorry for the slow forward on this, I have had poor internet access here in Africa.

A few members are saying that some of the e-mails AODA leadership sends to you repeat messages that are sent by ADA.  We try to avoid these "Double Posting" of messages.  Please do alert me if we send something double (I often get the same mail 3 or 4 times because I'm a member of other DPGs as well, you may experience that is you are a part of several DPGs).

Function:    Setting Policy for the Profession

Respond By: Feedback on the final Task Force report should be posted to the HOD CoI by Thursday, April 24, 2008.  Members are encouraged to submit feedback to delegates.

Executive Summary: This message provides you with access to the final report of the Phase 2 Future Practice & Education Task Force.  Also, the next steps are outlined for delegates and members.  

Background Information

§         The Phase 2 Future Practice & Education Task Force has completed the final report and recommendations.

§         The final report and recommendations take into account all the feedback received from members and organizational units.

Final Report Available

§         The final report is available for review on the HOD CoI (for delegates) and on the ADA Web site (for members).

§         Members may access the final report from the ADA Web site using the following link: www.eatright.org/cps/rde/xchg/ada/hs.xsl/governance.html 

§         The report will be the basis of discussion during the Spring HOD Meeting on Saturday, May 3, 8:45 AM - 12:00 Noon.  Based on this dialogue session, a series of motions will be released to the HOD following meeting for action.

For Delegates

§         Thanks to all the delegates who have registered to participate in one of the three webinars to be conducted by members of the Phase 2 Future Practice & Education Task Force (March 25, 26 and 27, 2008).  

§         If you have already registered for one of the webinars, you should have received information for participating.  If you are unable to locate your information for participating in the webinar, please contact Nina Landrum (nlandrum at eatright.org) and she will provide assistance.

§         For anyone with a conflict with the dates for these calls, you will be notified on how to access the recording of one of the sessions on Friday, March 28.

§         Please read the final report in order to effectively participate on the webinar.  You will be able to ask questions during the webinars.  

§         Also, we will want you to post your own thoughts and comments about the report on the HOD CoI, in addition to posting the feedback from your members.

§         Reading this report is critical to ensure understanding of this comprehensive document.

§         All members will have access to a recording of one of the webinars.  This recording will available on Wednesday, April 2, 2008.  The link will be available on the home page of the ADA Web site.  Watch for this opportunity!

§         Please take the time to review this report.  Share your comments and questions with your delegate in advance of the Spring Meeting.
