I have hear Jessica Setnick present at the Texas Dietetic Assoc. annual meeting and attended her "Eating Disorders Bootcamp" and she is excellent!   I would think any program on eating disorders where she presents would be totally worth the money and time.

These are great opportunities for learning for AODA members - depending on you phone service and ability to pay the 109 dollar fee.  But why not get a few friends together and cost share?  Stacia

  Eating Disorders: Assessment, Counseling and Care
   
  Eating disorders (ED) are serious, life-threatening conditions that require appropriate care and management by a team of mental health and medical professionals. The registered dietitian is an essential component of this multidisciplinary team approach. This presentation will cover where to start with an ED client (i.e. assessment, how to ensure the person has a team or help them create one, rapport, meal planning) and how to deal with strong resistance and fears (how to introduce/encourage weight restoration, challenging foods, symptom interruption/decrease).  Nutrition Care Process tips will also be given.
