AODA members -
I started to send you an update from FNCE, then got caught up in things
- there are just TOO many great things to do at FNCE and it is even hard
to get some sleep in the schedule! We had 53 AODA members attend FNCE
and most of those members took part in either the AODA dinner, the AODA
booth and/or the AODA international reception - it was wonderful to put
faces with names.
In this e-mail I want to share 2 exciting places that AODA was
unexpectedly highlighted:
1) AODA was highlighted at the Opening Session on the power point
presentation by Ron Moen, ADA's Chief Executive Officer. The Opening
Session is held on the night before FNCE educational sessions begin and
there were about 8,000 people in attendance (there were over 10,000
people in attendance all together).
2) AODA was also highlighted in the speech by ADA's new Honorary
Member, Dr. Richard Dekelbaum, Head of the Human Nutrition Institute at
Columbia University. He stressed the importance of thinking globally
and he mentioned attending the AODA International Reception the previous
evening.
I've uploaded a few pictures to Flikr if you would like to see them:

We'll be telling you more about FNCE in the next newsletter - the
deadline is today, so if you have a few words to add to the newsletter
about your work, information about upcoming conferences, or tidbits from
your country send them to our Secretary, Pat Kramer who is also covering
the newsletter at: Newsletter at EatrightOverseas.org
We are still looking for a newsletter editor to work with Pat, so if you
are good on the computer and have a few hours every 3 months to
contribute to your AODA organization, please let us know.
