AODA members -

I'm just getting this e-mail in today, not sure if you respond
immediately to adatimes at eatright.org if they will be able to put your
information in. I know I read in several AODA Country Representatives
reports (Switzerland, Australia, and elsewhere I think) that Green
Foodservice were being used, or green activities anyway.

It would be great if we are able to include AODA members in ADA
materials like this!

Subject: ADA Times article: Going green in foodservice

/ADA Times/ is looking for examples of how ADA members are adopting
environment-friendly practices in the commercial kitchen -- from buying
local/seasonal ingredients to reducing food and packaging waste to using
energy- and water-efficient equipment.

Time is of the essence, so if you have a story to share, send a few
sentences by end-of-day Thursday (11/1) to adatimes at eatright.org
<mailto:adatimes at eatright.org> and put "Going Green" in the subject field.

Thank you!

Hi Sue and JoAnn,

With the holidays around the corner, /ADA Times/ is on a really tight
deadline so I am enlisting the help of DPG members. Could you please
post the message below to the School Nutrition Services (SNS), Hunger
and Environmental Nutrition (HEN) and Management in Food and Nutrition
Systems (MFNS) listservs at your earliest convenience? They only have 48
hours to respond but it's an opportunity for DPG members to participate
in /ADA Times /articles.

Thank you!

Liz
