[AODA members] Yolanda King passed away

AODA / HEN members -

I was just alerted that Yolanda King passed away this week.  For those 
of you that attended FNCE in Hawai'i and had the opportunity to hear her 
speak to us about opening our minds and souls - you'll no doubt agree 
with me that Yolanda had the power to excite souls on the power and 
strength of diversity.

My personal involvement in AODA and HEN are strongly tied to the 
diversity that these groups bring to ADA -
* AODA in the global arena opening minds to the amazing food and 
nutrition cultures of the world and
* HEN for the resilience of sustainable food systems that rely on 
diversity for their strength.

I was very moved by Yolanda's style and her ability to spark interest 
and belief in the power of diversity.  I hope that ADA members are able 
to carry that spark on throughout all of ADA's activities.

It is with deepest sadness that we say goodbye to our founder and CEO 
Yolanda Denise King. Through the projects she championed and her 
thousands of appearances around the world, she brought to life the 
vision of a united human community and the potential that we all share 
to be true agents of change. Her energetic spirit will continue to 
inspire our work as we move forward. It is our intention that the 
projects in which she so lovingly invested will find their way to the 
audience that she sought in every way to honor and inspire.
