The ADA House of Delegates is our collective voice of direction for our
organization. I'm attaching the information that is found in the links
below, I find its nice to have things at your fingertips. Even if you
aren't moved to have input into current HoD issues, this is a great
process to share with your national nutrition association's to improve
the strength of their organization.

*HOD/HLT Goals for the 2007-2008 Program Year*

    * Each year the HOD Leadership Team (HLT) develops a set of goals
for the House of Delegates and HLT to address. These goals provide
direction to the work of the House and HLT.
    * The HOD Core Function (HOD Manual, page A.4) "Strategic
Thinking/Visioning" sets this direction by stating "Develop annual
objectives for HOD and HLT to govern the profession and support
      the Strategic Plan.
    * The approved 2007-2008 Goals for HOD and HLT were included in your
HOD Manual (E.5) which was distributed at the end of May 2007.
Also, you can find a copy of the goals at the beginning of this
      message.
    * Please take the time to review these goals and become familiar
with the projected work of the House for the new program year.
    * You will receive an update of progress for achieving these goals
during the Fall 2007 HOD Meeting and a summary of accomplishments
during the Spring 2008 HOD Meeting.
    * A final summary of accomplishments on the 2006-2007 Goals can be
found in the HOD Manual, page E.6. A copy of this summary is found
      above for review.

*Association Committee Appointments for 2007-2008*

    * Connie Diekman and I have completed the appointment of HOD
committees, joint HOD/BOD committee and BOD committees for the
      program year.
    * Presently, we have a total of 18 committees and 3 task forces,
which involves a total of 175 members from various ADA
organizational units (HOD, BOD, DPGs, affiliates, CDR, CADE).
    * The Committee/Task Force Appointment for 2007-2008 is provided
      above for your reference.
